2026 kicks off with the Strikers Youth Cup

The first weekend of 2026 saw the Youth Cup, a tournament dedicated to the U14 category, take place on the pitches of Trezzano sul Naviglio.

This was our first 11-a-side soccer tournament, played over three days (January 3–4–5), which saw 21 teams take to the field.

Among them were seven professional teams: Como 1907, IMT Belgrade (Serbia), Juventus FC, Lecco Calcio, Spezia Calcio, Sporting CB (Portugal), and Torino FC.

Several international teams also took part in the tournament: FC Pesch and ISI Soccer Talent from Germany, GA Tokyo from Japan, and Stadion Slawsky and Slaska AK Pilkarska from Poland.

The tournament was divided into four distinct phases. Initially, the teams were divided into seven groups of three teams each. At the end of this first phase, all the teams faced a second qualifying group phase, from which the final groups emerged to determine the best four teams, qualifying for the 3rd/4th place and 1st/2nd place finals.

Slaska AK. Pilkarska and IMT Belgrade won the Gold 1 and Gold 2 groups respectively and faced each other in the final. Behind them were Folgore Caratese and Club Milano, who finished second and qualified for the third-place final.

The bronze medal went to Club Milano, who beat Folgore Caratese 4-3 at the end of a spectacular match that was fought until the very last ball.

The winners of the first edition of the Youth Cup were the Serbs of IMT Belgrade, who beat Slaska AK 1-0. Pilkarska, thus winning the cup of the first Strikers tournament in 2026.
